Im Zentrum der Negationen zirkuliert ungenannt das transzendentale Objekt mit seiner noumenalen und seiner phänomenalen Seite, eine Untescheidung, die den grösseren Rahmen abgibt für die Amphibolie der Reflexionsbegriffe von dem Grunde der Unterscheidung aller Gegenstände überhaupt in Phaenomena und Noumena. In diesem Zusammenhang lässt sich nun verstehen, dass diese für die transzendentale Philosophie grundlegende Beziehung von noumenaler und phänomenaler Bestimmung selbst über eine Figur der Negation geprägt ist. Das transzendentale Objekt ist über seine noumenale und seine phänomenale Seite doppelt abgegrenzt. Während das Noumenon die Denkbarkeit an ihre äusserste Grenze treibt und mit einer leeren Vorstellung Grenzen unserer sinnlichen Erkenntnis bezeichnet und diese Grenze von der Seite der transzendentalen Logik aus in sich selbst unendlich ist, ist das Phänomenon unendlich minimierbar und beschreibt einen in sich unendlichen Grenzwert nach der Materie.
